Privacy Policy
Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
This Privacy Policy explains what information Kaajdar collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Kaajdar is software that tailor shops use to run their business, so this policy has two parts: how we handle information about the people who hold accounts (shop owners and managers), and how we handle the records a shop keeps about its own customers. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “Kaajdar” mean the operator named below; “you” means the account holder. A separate section is written for the customers of shops that use Kaajdar.
1. Who we are
Kaajdar is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME AND FORM]. This policy covers the Kaajdar web app and the Kaajdar mobile apps for Android and iOS. You can reach us about privacy at:
- Email: [CONTACT EMAIL]
- Phone: [CONTACT PHONE]
- Address: [REGISTERED ADDRESS]
2. What Kaajdar is
Kaajdar is management software for tailor shops. Shop staff use it to record orders, measurements, and payments, and to run their day-to-day business. Because a shop uses Kaajdar to keep records about its own customers, we handle two kinds of information — information about you (the account holder) and information your shop enters about its customers — and we treat them differently, as explained below.
3. Information we collect about you (account holders)
When you create or use an account, we collect:
- Your phone number, which is also how you sign in — we do not use email addresses or usernames.
- Your name.
- Your password, stored only in an encrypted (hashed) form. We never store or see it as plain text.
- Your role, and which business and shops you belong to.
- The date and time you last signed in.
- If you are a staff member, the pay settings your owner enters for you (such as a commission rate).
- In the mobile app, if crash reporting is enabled in that build, basic crash diagnostics — your device model, operating-system version, and the technical details of an error — so we can fix problems.
We do not collect your email, and we do not collect your location or contacts. To keep you signed in, we store login tokens: in the web app as secure, http-only cookies your browser cannot read; in the mobile app in the device’s secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).
4. Information your shop records about its customers
A shop uses Kaajdar to keep records about its own customers. When shop staff enter these records, they may include:
- A customer’s name and phone number (one number can cover several family members).
- Body measurements for garments, saved for future orders.
- Orders, garment details, notes, and due dates.
- Payment records — amounts, method (cash or bank transfer), who paid, and any refunds. This is a running ledger.
- Photos or files attached to an order, such as a design photo or a scan of paper measurements. Today, files can be attached only from the web app.
These records belong to the shop. The shop decides what to record and is responsible for having the right to record it. We store and process these records only to provide the service to that shop. We do not use them for our own marketing, we do not sell them, and we share them only as described in “How we share information” below.
5. A note for shop customers
If your tailor uses Kaajdar: the record your tailor keeps about you — your name, phone number, measurements, orders, and payments — belongs to your tailor’s business, not to us. We store it on their behalf so they can serve you. If you want to see, correct, or remove your record, please ask your tailor directly; they control it and we act on their instructions. If you cannot resolve it with the shop, you may contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
6. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the service — run the apps and keep your shop’s records available to you.
- Handle billing for your subscription.
- Provide support when you contact us.
- Keep the service secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Diagnose crashes and fix problems (mobile crash reports, where enabled).
We do not show ads, we do not sell your information or your customers’ information, and we do not build advertising or tracking profiles.
7. How we share information
We do not sell information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run Kaajdar, and only for that purpose:
- Cloudflare R2 — stores the files a shop uploads (such as order photos) in a private, access-controlled bucket, encrypted at rest and reachable only through short-lived signed links.
- Sentry — receives crash diagnostics from the mobile app, in builds where crash reporting is enabled, so we can fix errors.
- Our hosting provider ([HOSTING PROVIDER AND REGION]) — runs the servers and database that store the app’s data.
These providers act on our behalf and may store data on servers outside Pakistan. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Kaajdar, our users, or the public.
8. Cookies and local storage
The web app uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. These are http-only session cookies — your browser cannot read them, and we do not use them for advertising or tracking. Because they are essential to signing in, no cookie-consent banner is required. The mobile app stores your login tokens in the device’s secure storage. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
9. How long we keep information, and account deletion
We keep information for as long as your account and your business are active, and as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements.
You can delete your owner account at any time — in the mobile app under Account → Delete account, or on the web at /account/delete. Deleting your account immediately signs you out, disables your login, and removes your access to every business and shop you owned.
What deletion does not do, and why:
- Your business and its records — shops, customers, orders, and payments — are not deleted. They remain with the business so it can keep operating; another owner can be added, or you can ask support to restore your access.
- Your name, phone number, and transaction records (such as payments you recorded or received) are retained as part of the business’s books, as required by applicable tax and bookkeeping law and to keep those records accurate.
- If you sign up again later with the same phone number, you start a new, separate business — the old one is not restored automatically.
Managers are removed by their shop owner; their historical records (such as payments they took) are kept for the same reasons. If a subscription lapses, the shop becomes read-only — data is retained, not deleted. To request deletion of an entire business and its records, contact support: [BUSINESS-DATA DELETION POLICY / WINDOW].
10. How we protect information
- Passwords are stored only as hashes, never in plain text.
- Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS / TLS.
- Role-based access, so staff see only what their role allows, with each shop’s data kept separate.
- Private file storage, reachable only through short-lived signed links.
- Immediate sign-out and loss of access when an account is deleted.
- A payment ledger that is append-only, so corrections are added as new entries and the history is preserved.
No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Children
Kaajdar is for business use by adults. We do not knowingly allow children to open accounts. A shop may record the measurements of a child as part of an order — for example, clothes for a customer’s child — as entered by the child’s parent, guardian, or family. Such records are handled like any other customer record described in this policy.
12. Your choices and rights
- View and correct your name in the app, and change your password at any time.
- Delete your owner account using either method described above.
- Contact us with questions or complaints at [CONTACT EMAIL].
If you are the customer of a shop that uses Kaajdar, requests about your record go through that shop, which controls it (see “A note for shop customers” above).
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a significant change, we will let you know through the app or by other reasonable means. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use Kaajdar after a change means you accept the updated policy.
